What's new in Interakly

New features, improvements, and fixes — shipped regularly.

August 2026

New

Activities Inside Lessons

Add any published Activity to a Lesson so students can play without leaving the page. Activity attempts, scores, and analytics stay with the Activity while Lesson progress stays focused on its own questions.

Fix

Composer Fixes

Writing a question in the video composer now keeps every word you type, and rendering tells you honestly where it is — working, finished, or what went wrong, in plain language.

  • The interaction menu is fully visible instead of hiding behind the timeline
  • Voice recordings save as narration you can lay under your video
  • Questions land at the right moment even when clips crossfade
  • Re-rendering keeps your on-frame card placements, and "Edit composition" is back in the editor

July 2026

New

Interactive Books

Build a book your class reads on any device. Start from a ready-made template, then write your own pages and drop in the pictures, videos and questions that belong with them.

  • Begin with a template and rewrite it as your own
  • Mix in your interactive images, videos, activities and questions
  • Let a page branch, so readers choose where to go next
  • Share one link, or embed the book in your class site
New

Books Inside A Lesson

Add a book to any lesson and your class reads it right there on the lesson page. Once the lesson is published, students keep reading the exact version you published, so you can keep editing the book freely.

Fix

Game Boards Warn You

If a Match Sprint, Sky Climb, or Word Hunt board has too few or too many items to play as a game, the editor now tells you while you're building it instead of quietly showing your class a plain question.

New

Embed A Game Anywhere

Drop a game straight into your LMS or class website, the same way you already embed a video, lesson or pathway.

Fix

Cleaner Embeds

An embedded lesson or pathway no longer carries the Interakly site menu and footer into your page, and signing in no longer takes students away from what they were doing.

New

Games Inside A Lesson

Add Match Sprint, Sky Climb or Word Hunt straight into a lesson, or type a topic and have one drafted for you to review.

Improvement

Better Lesson Pictures

Add a picture to a lesson by uploading it, dragging it in, picking one from your library, or searching free stock photos — instead of only pasting a link.

Improvement

Edit Activities After Publishing

Publishing an Activity no longer locks it for editing. You can keep changing wording, feedback, and points anytime — once learners start answering, the graded content locks in to keep everyone's results comparable.

  • Edit freely even after publishing, as long as no one has answered yet
  • Wording, feedback, and points stay editable after answers start coming in
  • Duplicate an Activity in one click to teach a revised version to a new group
Fix

Sky Climb Finish And Images

Clearing a Sky Climb tower now takes you to a finish screen with a clear way to continue, instead of getting stuck. Any images you added to your items now show up on the tower and in the list you're building from.

Improvement

Fresh Boards Every Time

Match Sprint and Sky Climb now shuffle a different board for every learner, so answers can't be memorized or copied from someone else's screen. Reloading mid-game keeps your own board exactly as it was.

New

Question Stage

Questions now open in one focused, cohesive stage with large tappable answers and a clear finish.

  • Works on Multiple Choice, True/False, Fill in the Blank, Poll, Rating Scale, and Numeric Input
  • Applied automatically so creators can focus on the question instead of styling every row
  • No question countdown: only deliberately timed games use countdown pacing
  • Scoring, feedback, and retakes work exactly as before
New

Match Sprint

A fast pair-matching game break for your videos — learners race to connect terms with their meanings, then the lesson rolls on.

  • Add it from the interaction picker and edit pairs like any matching question
  • Let AI draft pairs from what your video just covered, then review before saving
  • Sprint against the clock or play an untimed Zen mode — speed never changes the score
  • See plays, fastest and typical clear times, and flawless-run rates in your video analytics

June 2026

New

Interactive Images

Turn any image into an interactive lesson — drop hotspots, questions, guided tours, and styled labels right on top of a picture, then share or embed it anywhere.

  • Upload a photo or generate one with AI
  • Place info hotspots, questions, ratings, guided tours, and labels
  • Learners explore on any device — no account needed
  • Embed it on any website or LMS with a single snippet
New

Branch Mid-Video

Choice points can now appear at any moment in a video - offer paths to other videos at 0:10, or let viewers simply keep watching.

New

Analytics hub

A new Analytics section brings your interactive videos and Pathways together in one place. Track engagement over time, see how scores are distributed, spot where learners drop off, and jump straight to the questions that need attention.

  • Engagement and retention trends across all your content
  • Score distribution and a learner drop-off funnel
  • Shortcuts to your hardest questions and the content that needs attention
New

Custom branding

Make your videos fully your own. Pro creators can add their own logo and hide Interakly branding for a clean, branded experience from start to finish.

  • Your logo on the player, intro, and score screen
  • Your logo on password, email, and access screens
  • Interakly links removed when branding is turned off
New

Two new question types

Two new ways to check understanding: Drag the Words, where learners drag words into the right blanks, and Mark the Words, where they click to highlight the right words in a passage of text.

May 2026

New

Interactive content pages

Build a complete lesson page around your video. Add formatted text, images, and self-contained quiz blocks below the player instead of just showing the video on its own.

  • Rich text with formatting, colors, and links
  • Drag-and-drop image blocks
  • Inline quiz blocks: multiple choice, true/false, fill-in-the-blank, ordering, and numeric
New

Threaded comments

Viewers can discuss a video in a threaded comment section below the player, with replies, likes, and pinned highlights. Creators get full moderation, including approving comments before they appear.

New

Bookmarks

Save any video to return to later with a Save button on the watch page and a Saved tab in your library.

Improvement

Flexible quiz retakes

Let viewers retry a whole quiz or just specific questions, with clearer hints about when a retake is available and friendlier feedback along the way.

Improvement

Quality-of-life improvements

A batch of smaller improvements across the viewing and creating experience.

  • Click-to-jump transcript panel beneath the player
  • A Continue Watching strip to pick up where you left off
  • Scrub through a video to choose a custom thumbnail
  • More reliable uploads with automatic format conversion
  • A new status page showing live system health
  • Built-in help and support chat

March 2026

New

AI quiz generation

For eligible YouTube videos with an available transcript, Interakly can draft quiz questions for you to review and edit before publishing. Transcript availability and configured AI services are required.

New

Guides and resources

A growing library of how-to guides and practical resources to help you get more out of interactive video.

February 2026

New

  • Real-time analytics on every response
