Interactive images

Any image. Now it teaches.

Upload a diagram, a photo, or a map — then add clickable hotspots, questions, guided tours, labels, and arrows right on top. Learners explore and answer, and you see exactly how they did.

What you can add

Six ways to bring a picture to life

Clickable hotspots

Drop a marker anywhere — a tap reveals an explanation, a picture, or a link.

Questions on the image

Ask multiple-choice or true/false right where it matters, and grade it instantly.

Click-the-region

Ask learners to find the right spot — “click the nucleus” — and check exactly where they tapped.

Guided tours

Walk learners through an image one spotlight at a time, with a note at each stop.

Titles & labels

Add beautiful styled text — headings, captions, callouts — directly on the picture.

Arrows & connectors

Point at the detail that matters, or link a label to the part it names.

How it works

From picture to lesson in minutes

No design tools, no code. Everything happens on one canvas — place it, style it, share it.

  • 1. Upload your image

A diagram, a photo, a map, a screenshot — anything. Or generate one with AI right inside Interakly.

  • 2. Add interactions where they matter

Drag hotspots, questions, tours, labels, and arrows straight onto the picture.

  • 3. Make it yours

Pick marker styles and colors, style your text, and shape the arrows — it’s all on-canvas.

  • 4. Share a link — or embed it

Send one link, or paste an embed snippet onto any website or LMS. Learners explore and answer in the browser — no account, no install.

Where it shines

Made for teaching with pictures

Diagrams that quiz back

Label a cell, a plant, a machine — then ask learners to find each part themselves.

Maps & explorers

Turn a map or a scene into a click-to-discover experience with a hotspot on every landmark.

Walkthroughs & onboarding

Annotate a screenshot, a floor plan, or a product photo and guide people through it.

  • No account needed for learners

Questions, answered.

What kinds of images work?
Anything you can upload — diagrams, photographs, maps, charts, screenshots, artwork. If you don't have one ready, you can generate an image with AI right inside Interakly and build on top of it.
Do learners need an account?
No. They open a link and start exploring — clicking hotspots, answering questions, and following the tour. Their answers and progress are tracked anonymously, with no sign-up.
Is it graded automatically?
Yes. Questions and click-the-region challenges are scored instantly, with feedback the moment a learner answers. You see the results without lifting a finger.
Can I make it look the way I want?
Completely. Choose marker icons, colors, and sizes; add styled titles and captions; and draw straight or curved arrows — all directly on the image, so what you build is what learners see.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. Interactive images are built to work beautifully on phones, tablets, and desktops — the markers, tours, and questions all adapt to the screen, and the cards open right over the image.
Can I put it on my own website?
Yes. Every published image comes with an embed snippet — paste it onto any website, blog, or LMS and it drops in like a video, resizing to fit and working on phones. No account needed to view.
Is it free?
Interactive images are included for signed-in creators — the same place you get interactive video, quizzes, and the rest of Interakly.
